Water bottles are permitted inside the studio and our water refill station is open to refill water bottles ONLY! No glass water bottles are permitted, thank you!
All technology/phones/devices are to be places in the labelled bin at the entrance to the studio upon entering class, where they will remain until the end of class. There is no Wifi access at the studio for dancers, it is reserved for teachers only, thank you for your cooperation! Students may askeir instructors to video choreography at the END OF CLASS and all choreography/video is not to be shared with anyone outside of that class, or posted to social media. Phones are permitted to be charged in the lobby/changeroom/entrance bin only and not in the studio during class time.
No food or drink (other than water bottles) are permitted inside the studios. Food and drinks are allowed in the lobby and changeroom only. We ask that you kindly clean up after yourself, thank you!
If your child has a short turnaround time in between classes and is staying at the studio to eat, there is a full sized fridge and microwave provided. Please ensure your child picks up all of their items and cleans up after eating, using the garbage cans provided, thank you! When staying to eat, students must be quiet and respectful of the classes that are still in progress, and keep the noise to a minimum.
Parents are asked to drop off children, and pick up children OUTSIDE ONLY! due to lack of space, thank you! Preschool parents, please see the individual requirements for your dancer for drop off/pick up policies under the Dress Code section on this page.
Please leave all valuables/personal items at home. The Dance Gallery does have a limited number of lockers (dancers are responsible to provide their own locks) that dancers are welcome to use. Food is not permitted to be kept in lockers. The Lost and Found items will be kept until the end of the month, then they will be donated to a local charity. Please ensure your dancer has LABELLED EVERYTHING so that we can return any items left behind.
Please ensure you arrive on time for your classes. If you have an appointment, kindly let your instructor know ahead of time. If soemthing unexpected arises, we encourage you to notify a dance friend or parents in the class to let your instructor know that you may be late. Non-attendance in class can effect a student's rate of progression and placement in competitive classes, so please inform The Dance Gallery of any changes that may effect your child's attendance. You may view your child's attendance at any time by logging into your Studio Director account.
Grooming and proper dress attire is in place to ensure that your child is able to move and perform within the guidelines of the genre without distraction and that the instructor can ensure proper alignment and safety. We appreciate you and your dancer being properly prepared for all classes. When purchasing new shoes, kindly ensure that your instructor has approved the fit for your dancer before wearing them in class, thank you. Shoes must be a snug fit to ensure proper alignment. Sports bras are ONLY permitted to be worn where necessary under bodysuits/dance attire. We kindly ask if your dancer has special requirements, please feel free to ask us for suggestions, thank you. Sports bras are not acceptable to be worn as bodysuits. No t-shirts/sweatshirts/street clothing are to be worn in class, unless listed in the specific class dress code. Thank you. Please ensure your child's name is on ALL shoes and attire!
Dress codes are in effect. With the exception of footwear and whenever possible, please arrive dressed and ready to go with your hair ready for class, with no jewelry. The changeroom is available for those dancers who require changing, and we kindly ask that the bathroom not be used as a changeroom. The dress code is to be adhered to at all times. Please ensure your dancer is getting themselves ready and their dance bag prepared!
